El Vallarta is very fun looking on the inside.  Everything is very colorful, and you can tell that someone spent a lot of time painting it all.  No two chairs in the place seem to be alike.  They are carved and painted in lots of different ways.  One that I noticed was like a flamingo.  I wish I had taken pictures of the chairs so people could see what I mean, but maybe I'll remember if I go back...  the tables and the walls were equally creative and bright.  There are grooves on the tables as part of the artwork which did cause me to spill my drink (maybe they should put a glass covering on top so it's smooth but the design is still there).  Either way it looks cool and I like it.

I was not a fan of the salsa that was provided with the chips.  It just lacked flavor to me.  Someone else at the table asked if they had anything spicier, so they brought a small bowl of that to the table.  I liked that salsa MUCH better!!! If their original red salsa isn't doing it for you and you want something with more flavor and a good kick, I'd recommend asking for the spicier stuff!

There was a decent amount of food to choose from, and I went with the pollo chipotle.  This was something that I don't necessarily see at other places so I wanted to try it while I was here.  It's basically pieces of chicken in their chipotle sauce served with rice, beans, and tortillas.  The chipotle sauce was described as a "hot and spicy sauce" on the menu... this isn't necessarily how I'd describe it though.  I didn't find it too spicy, but I also know that I have a higher tolerance for spice than most people, so I get it, and I can see how some people could say that it IS spicy.  To me, it tasted kind of like a sweet and sour light barbecue sauce, if that makes any sense.  It was yummy, especially when I drizzled some of the spicy salsa on top to add some extra spice!!!  The rice and beans were good as well and tasted very normal in a good way.  They weren't trying to mess with something simple!

The service was alright, and I was surprised at how quickly the food came out.  It seems like we only waited 15 or so minutes before it was at our table, which is always nice.  Oh, and portion sizes are pretty big for most dishes!  It's great to get a good bang for your buck!!

Not from around this area so we just picked this place.  We had the fajitas for two and two drinks each and it was $34. Great price and great food. Highly recommend!

Out-freaking standing! Margaritas $1.99 were amazing at 7:30 on a Friday night.  Delish! I ordered the grand fajitas with beef, chicken and shrimp. Served with soooo much food including grilled veggies.  My husband ordered the beef fajita chimichonga.  Perfect.  Salsa needs a little more flavor but everyone views this different.

This is the place to go in Miami, OK for Mexican food on a Friday night!!! It was a Friday when I came in and boy was it busy.  The place was seriously packed.   With a baja Mexico decor with its bright colors was very inviting.  Walking thru the crowd to my table I saw many Margaritas.  I would assume they were good as I didn't have one.

The service here was great.  Albeit very busy our server took good care of us.

The chips and salsa were good.  Always a plus!!

I had a  burrito with chicken pork and beef and dude. It was huge AND delicious. It's not everyday you find a spot that will deliver quality and flavor whilst stuffing the farm onto a round foldable disc.

I enjoyed my visit here and if back in Miami would totally dine here again.
